A fire outbreak has damaged part of the Technology Incubation Centre located near the Police Headquarters in Gombe State, destroying property estimated at ₦4 million.
According to the Federal Fire Service, Gombe State Command, the incident occurred on Friday morning, affecting five shops within the facility.
In a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, ASF MB Muazu, firefighters received a distress call at 10:14 a.m. and immediately deployed a multipurpose water tender to the scene.
The firefighting team, led by ASF II Mukhtar Shehu and assisted by driver IF Bernard, began operations upon arrival and successfully brought the fire under control using a medium jet of water.
The Federal Fire Service disclosed that four of the five affected shops were saved during the operation, preventing the flames from spreading further and preserving property valued at approximately ₦15 million.

“The Federal Fire Service, Gombe State Command, has successfully contained a fire outbreak involving five shops at the Technology Incubation Centre near the Police Headquarters in Gombe,” Muazu stated.
He added that after the fire was extinguished, officials conducted a thorough inspection of the area and confirmed that there was no immediate risk of the fire reigniting.
The firefighting crew returned to the station at about 11:09 a.m. after ensuring the situation was completely under control.
The command also reiterated its commitment to responding promptly to emergencies and urged residents to report fire incidents quickly while observing basic fire safety measures to prevent avoidable losses.
