
Goods worth millions of naira have been destroyed after a fire broke out at a section of Gbagi Market in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The fire incident occurred around noon on Monday at 348 ZI/E Milo Zone, Bola Ige International Market, Gbagi.
According to the Oyo State Fire Service, two of nine lock-up shops in a row were engulfed by the fire.
Firefighters responded swiftly and were able to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading to neighbouring shops and properties.

Fortunately, no lives were lost and no casualties were recorded.
The Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the incident, noting that a post-fire investigation had commenced to determine the cause of the inferno.
The incident has, however, left affected traders counting their losses as goods worth millions of naira were reportedly destroyed.
