A middle-aged man, Francis Adewunmi, has allegedly attacked his wife with a machete in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, leaving her with a head injury before reportedly fleeing the scene.
The victim alleged that the incident followed an argument during which her husband accused her of infidelity, a claim she denied. She also claimed he had threatened her life for 17 years.

However, Adewunmi reportedly gave a different account, claiming he accidentally hit his wife with a mobile phone during the disagreement.
The woman has called on the relevant authorities to investigate the incident and ensure justice is served.
