Nollywood actor Clinton Joshua has opened byup about his decision to steer clear of kissing scenes in films, saying it is a deliberate move aimed at shaping the direction of his career.
In an interview with TVC Entertainment, the actor explained that his choice is driven by his desire to maintain control over the kinds of roles he takes and how he is perceived in the industry.
Joshua said he is careful about avoiding typecasting, noting that excelling in romantic or intimate scenes could lead filmmakers to repeatedly offer him similar roles.

He emphasized that his focus is on building a diverse acting portfolio rather than being associated with a particular type of character or scene.
“If I’m good at it, producers will likely give me the same role over and over again, and I don’t want to kiss half the girls in Nollywood,” he said.
The actor added that his approach is part of a long-term plan to ensure steady growth and versatility in his Nollywood career, allowing him to explore a wider range of roles beyond romance-based storylines.
