Troops attached to Sector 7 of Operation Enduring Peace, working alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested a man suspected of involvement in kidnapping activities in Kaduna State.
The suspect was apprehended during a joint security operation carried out in Kamuru village, located in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.
According to security sources, the raid took place in the early hours of May 12 following intelligence linked to a previous abduction incident in the area.
The 45-year-old suspect, identified as Husaini Jibrin, is alleged to have connections to a kidnapping case reported on April 26 in the Angwan Ali community.
Investigators believe he may have played a role in coordinating the operation, which had caused fear among residents of nearby communities.
Security operatives reportedly recovered a mobile phone and N10,000 cash from the suspect during the operation.
Authorities said investigations are ongoing as security agencies continue efforts to tackle kidnapping and other criminal activities across the state.
