As a result of the development, Jimenez will not be part of the matchday squad for the Premier League fixture this weekend, with the club also confirming that no further comments will be made until the investigation is concluded
Jimenez, who recently turned 21, has featured prominently for Bournemouth this season, making 32 appearances after initially joining on loan from AC Milan in the summer.
His move to the Vitality Stadium was later made permanent in February.
The situation remains under review as Bournemouth continues its internal investigation into the matter.
