Arsenal have booked their place in the UEFA Champions League final after a narrow 1–0 victory over Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
The result sealed the Gunners’ progression to the final after a tightly contested semi-final tie, following a 1–1 draw in the first leg in Spain. Mikel Arteta’s side showed control and intensity from the start, dominating possession and pressing high up the pitch.
The breakthrough came in the first half when Bukayo Saka reacted fastest inside the penalty area to finish off a rebound after an effort from Leandro Trossard.

The goal proved decisive in a match where clear chances were limited.
Atletico Madrid pushed hard after the break, increasing their attacking pressure in search of an equaliser.
However, Arsenal’s defence held firm, managing the game well and denying the visitors any clear route back into the tie.
The win sends Arsenal into the Champions League final, where they will face either Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich.
The final is scheduled to take place on May 30 at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary.
