Nollywood actress Angela Eguavoen has sparked debate over relationships and infidelity, declaring that she believes all men cheat.
Eguavoen said her controversial belief is partly a way of protecting herself emotionally from the pain of discovering that a romantic partner has been unfaithful.
The actress, who acknowledged that men often reject the assertion that all men are cheats, said she maintains her position despite their objections.
“I strongly believe that all men cheat. Whenever I say that, the men will say, ‘It is not all men,’” she said.
According to Eguavoen, believing that men are capable of cheating helps her prepare for the possibility of betrayal rather than being completely devastated if it happens.

“I think it is a belief I use to console myself just in case I am in a relationship and suddenly find out that the person I am dating is cheating,” she explained.
However, Eguavoen stressed that infidelity should never become a justification for violence. She said she would not hurt or kill a partner over cheating or take any action she might later regret.
“I would not kill or hurt him, and I would not do anything I would regret,” she said.
While maintaining her controversial stance, the actress also urged men who cheat to avoid deliberately humiliating their partners.
“I believe all men cheat, but if you are going to cheat, do not rub it in your woman’s face. Just show her respect,” she said.
