The Nigeria Police Force has arrested a serving Nigerian Air Force personnel over his alleged involvement in an armed robbery and abduction case in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The suspect was taken into custody on September 17 after police operatives carried out an investigation into the incident, according to the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu.
During the operation, the police recovered a blue Toyota Camry allegedly used in carrying out the crime.
The arrest was listed among the operational successes recorded by the police in Oyo State and contained in the Force’s state-by-state executive summary released on Sunday.
In a separate operation, police officers also arrested three suspected members and associates of a kidnapping syndicate operating in the state.
The operation was carried out on September 18 following credible intelligence. One suspected member of the syndicate was arrested at Kanbi Village in Atisbo Local Government Area.

Two other suspects were also taken into custody for allegedly assisting in concealing kidnapping activities.
The police said investigations into the two cases are being handled by the State Criminal Investigation Department in Ibadan.
Authorities have not released the identities of the suspects or disclosed further details about the alleged robbery, abduction and kidnapping incidents.
The arrests form part of ongoing police operations aimed at tackling kidnapping, armed robbery and other violent crimes across the country.
