Actress Mary Njoku Cautions Against Ingratitude

Nollywood actress Mary Njoku has delivered a strong message on the dangers of ingratitude, advising people to value unexpected help they receive from God.

In a post shared on Instagram, Njoku stressed that assistance should be accepted with gratitude and wisdom, not entitlement. She warned against placing excessive responsibility on helpers or treating divine support as a permanent obligation.

According to her, many people exhaust the goodwill of others and, when the help eventually stops, choose to rewrite history by ignoring or dismissing the good that was once done for them.

Njoku ended her message with a sharp call for self-reflection, urging individuals to examine their own actions rather than blaming others.

She wrote:
“Whether God sends you a helper you didn’t expect, take the help with gratitude and wisdom. Don’t be ungrateful by placing the weight of your entire generation on that person.

Don’t turn divine assistance into a subscription. Use your head. You drain people to the point where, once they stop helping, you rewrite history and dismiss all the good they ever did.

And you still wonder who the village people are. Use your mirror, bro.”
