Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has threatened legal action against bloggers, social media influencers and other individuals accused of spreading false and malicious reports about her.
The actress, through her legal representatives, issued a cease-and-desist notice dated November 5, 2026, warning members of the public against publishing or circulating unverified claims capable of damaging her reputation and professional image.
The notice, signed by her lawyer, Tope Salami, described the alleged publications as misleading, unsubstantiated and harmful to Abraham’s personal integrity, career and business interests.
Abraham also shared the legal notice on her X account, urging the public to read its contents carefully.
Her legal team demanded that those responsible immediately stop publishing, reposting or promoting the alleged defamatory materials. They also called for the removal of existing posts, videos, comments and other content containing the disputed claims.

The lawyers further warned that anyone who continues to circulate such reports after receiving the notice could face legal proceedings. They added that relevant online publications and digital materials could be preserved as evidence.
The development comes amid renewed social media discussions involving Abraham and fellow Nollywood actress Funke Akindele.
In October 2026, an alleged private audio conversation involving Abraham and a TikTok user identified as Bisgold circulated online, triggering widespread reactions over comments reportedly made about Akindele. However, the authenticity and full context of the recording have not been independently established.
Abraham’s legal representatives urged the public to verify information before sharing it, stressing that freedom of expression does not extend to spreading false claims capable of unlawfully damaging another person’s reputation.
