The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two men, Abraham Job and Adebowale Adeniyi, over the alleged operation of an unlicensed private security outfit known as Double Razzor in Kwara State.
The arrest followed an investigation into the outfit’s licensing status and its authorisation to provide bouncer and other private security services.
According to the NSCDC Kwara State Command, preliminary findings raised concerns about the outfit’s compliance with the legal requirements governing private security companies in Nigeria.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Ayoola Shola, disclosed in a statement on Monday that the suspects were being investigated for allegedly operating a private security outfit without the required licence and providing regulated security services without statutory authorisation.

The State Commandant, Abbas Mohammed, reaffirmed the corps’ commitment to enforcing regulations and curbing unauthorised private security operations across the state.
He urged event organisers, corporate organisations and members of the public to engage only licensed security providers to ensure compliance with the law and promote public safety.
The NSCDC stated that it would continue efforts to sanitise the private security sector, protect lives and property, and promote accountability in security operations across Kwara State.
