
Suspected armed bandits have killed a local security commander, Agbeniga Taye, during an attack on Idofin-Ayekale in Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Taye, who served as a community security guard, was reportedly killed on Thursday evening while trying to defend residents during the attack.

Sources said the attackers also abducted two people from the community, although their identities were not immediately known.
The incident has heightened fears among residents over the growing security challenges affecting communities in Kwara South Senatorial District.
Residents have called for stronger security measures to protect lives and property in the area.
Efforts to obtain comments from security agencies on the incident were unsuccessful as of Friday.
