
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested six suspected miscreants following the emergence of a viral video showing individuals allegedly harassing motorists on a Lagos road.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed the arrests on Thursday while responding to the video, which had sparked concerns among members of the public.
The footage reportedly showed suspected miscreants attempting to damage the side mirror of a vehicle, raising fresh concerns about the safety of motorists along the road.
According to Adebisi, the police had already been monitoring the activities of individuals involved in such acts and had taken proactive measures to address the situation before the video gained widespread attention online.

She disclosed that six suspects were subsequently arrested along the same road in connection with the incident, while an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
The police spokesperson also revealed that additional officers had been deployed strategically to the area to strengthen surveillance, protect motorists and prevent further incidents.
She commended members of the public for bringing the incident to the attention of the police and urged residents to continue providing credible and timely information that could assist security agencies in tackling criminal activities.
