
An unidentified woman has been found dead inside a church premises in the Obelewo area of Osogbo, Osun State, in a disturbing incident that has sparked concern among residents.
According to the Nigeria Police Force, detectives visited the scene after the woman’s body was discovered within the church compound. Preliminary findings revealed that the victim was allegedly killed, while her left wrist had been severed and taken away by unknown individuals.
Police spokesperson, Ani Iniedu, disclosed that investigators are still working to determine the identity of the deceased and establish the motive behind the killing.
“The investigations revealed that the deceased was slaughtered and her left wrist severed and taken away by unknown persons,” the statement said.

The police further confirmed that the body had been transferred to a hospital mortuary for an autopsy, while the State Criminal Investigation Department continues its investigation into the case.
