Several people are feared dead and at least 30 others remain missing following a fresh attack by suspected armed herdsmen in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State.
Reports indicate that the attackers initially invaded Ochobo community, where two persons were killed. An earlier attempt to attack Agadagba community was reportedly repelled by residents before the assailants withdrew.
However, the gunmen returned on Saturday evening and launched a more coordinated assault, opening fire indiscriminately on the community. The attack resulted in multiple casualties and forced many residents to flee for safety.
