The Anambra State Police Command has stepped up surveillance patrols across key locations in the state as part of renewed efforts to enhance security and reassure residents of their safety.
In a statement released on Monday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed that the operation is designed to provide real-time situational awareness and reinforce intelligence-driven policing aimed at preventing criminal activities.
According to Ikenga, the intensified patrols form part of a broader proactive strategy to boost public safety, improve rapid response capabilities, and deny criminal elements the opportunity to operate within the state.
He noted that the exercise includes high-visibility patrols, intelligence-led operations, stop-and-search duties, and coordinated engagements with other security agencies.
“The Command remains committed to protecting lives and property by sustaining enhanced security operations across identified strategic locations,” the statement read.
