The family of Abdulazeez Abiodun, popularly known as Kebe, has appealed to security agencies to ensure those responsible for his death are identified and brought to justice after his body was found in a bush in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State.
According to the family, Abiodun left his home in Isalu on Saturday morning for his cocoa farm in Owa-Onire but failed to return home as expected. Concerned relatives reportedly tried to reach him by phone without success before mobilising local hunters and members of the community to begin a search.
During the search, his motorcycle was discovered parked at the farm, raising fears that he may have been abducted. However, the family said no ransom demand was made. The search later ended in tragedy when his lifeless body was found in a nearby bush.

A daughter of the deceased alleged that her father’s hands were tied when his body was recovered, describing the incident as a brutal killing that has left the family devastated.
The family urged the police and other security agencies to carry out a thorough investigation, identify those behind the killing and prosecute them in accordance with the law. They also appealed to community leaders, human rights organisations and members of the public to support efforts to ensure justice is served.
Relatives further expressed concern over what they described as slow progress in the investigation, saying they had not received any significant update despite the recovery of the deceased’s motorcycle from the scene.
As of the time of filing this report, the Kwara State Police Command had not released an official statement on the incident.
