England have been dealt another injury concern ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup quarter-final against Norway, with defender Marc Guehi facing a race against time to recover from a hamstring injury.
The Manchester City centre-back sustained the injury during England’s Round of 16 victory over Mexico and was absent from the Three Lions’ final training session in Kansas City on Thursday.

Despite missing training, England manager Thomas Tuchel remains optimistic that Guehi could still be available for Saturday’s crucial clash. The defender was spotted walking around the training ground but did not take part in team drills with his teammates.
Although the injury is not believed to be severe, Guehi’s fitness will be closely monitored before a final decision is made on his availability.
England will be hoping the defender recovers in time as they prepare for a tough quarter-final encounter against Norway, with a place in the World Cup semi-finals at stake.
