
Authorities in India have arrested three Nigerian nationals over their alleged involvement in a drug trafficking operation, according to reports from local law enforcement agencies.
The suspects, identified as Ambemo Victor (37), Chime Moses (36), and Karikari Ames (33), were reportedly apprehended by operatives of the Anti-Narcotic Wing of the Central Crime Branch.
Investigations revealed that the trio entered India using medical and tourist visas before allegedly engaging in illicit drug activities.
According to officials, the arrests followed a coordinated raid carried out within the Madanayakanahalli area after actionable intelligence was received.
During the operation, law enforcement officers recovered approximately 10.27 kilograms of MDMA crystals and 2.044 kilograms of hydroponic cannabis.

The seized substances are estimated to have a street value of about ₹23 crore.
Preliminary findings indicate that the suspects allegedly sourced the drugs from another Nigerian national believed to be based in Delhi.
Authorities have stated that further investigations are ongoing to dismantle the wider network connected to the operation.
This development comes just weeks after other Nigerian nationals were arrested in India in connection with separate criminal cases, including fraud and impersonation schemes.
Indian authorities have reiterated their commitment to combating drug trafficking and transnational crime, emphasizing increased surveillance and intelligence-led operations to curb such activities.
