As the match appeared destined for extra time, Erling Haaland scored the winner in the 86th minute to hand Norway a dramatic victory.
The win sees Norway advance to the Round of 16, where they will take on Brazil for a place in the quarter-finals, while Ivory Coast exit the tournament.
