
A woman who sustained gunshot injuries during a kidnapping attack in Ogun State has shared a chilling account of her experience following her rescue by security operatives.
The incident occurred in the Ogbere Forest area, where armed kidnappers reportedly ambushed victims along the road.
Narrating her ordeal, the survivor explained how the attackers blocked their path and forcefully demanded that she exit her vehicle.
According to her, one of the gunmen threatened to shoot if she refused to comply.
“I saw a young man parked on the road. He told me to come out or he would shoot. I refused, and he shot me,” she recounted.

Despite being wounded, the situation escalated further as the assailants targeted her family members. She revealed that after shooting her, one of the kidnappers returned to abduct her loved ones.
“He grabbed my daughter and shot me again. He came back and took my sister and me,” she added.
The victim was among five individuals rescued within 25 hours during a coordinated operation carried out by security operatives under Operation KOSAYE, involving the Lagos and Ogun State Police Commands.
Authorities confirmed that the woman is currently receiving medical treatment for her injuries, while efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend the remaining members of the kidnapping gang.
The incident highlights the persistent security challenges in parts of the country, as law enforcement agencies continue intensified operations to combat kidnapping and related crimes.
