A woman who allegedly disguised herself as a nurse has been apprehended in Anambra State over an attempted theft of a newborn baby from a healthcare facility.
According to reports, the suspect gained access to the maternity section of the hospital by posing as a medical worker. Witnesses said her appearance and conduct initially raised no suspicion, allowing her to move freely within the facility.
The incident came to light when hospital staff and relatives of the infant noticed unusual behaviour and questioned her presence in the ward. Further inquiries reportedly revealed inconsistencies in her claims, prompting security personnel and hospital authorities to intervene.
