
Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adamawa State Command, have rescued two young children who were allegedly abandoned in Yola South Local Government Area of the state.
The children, believed to be between the ages of one and two, were found in an uncompleted building located in the Wuro Hausa area, where they had reportedly been left alone in the middle of the night.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Nyako Amidu Baba, the children were discovered after a vigilant resident raised an alarm upon hearing them crying helplessly.

Following the report, NSCDC operatives swiftly responded to the scene and evacuated the children to safety.
The rescued toddlers are currently in protective custody, while efforts are ongoing to identify and locate their parents or guardians.
The State Commandant, Idris Bande, has directed intensified investigations to ensure the children are reunited with their family and to determine the circumstances surrounding their abandonment.
Authorities have urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities, especially those involving vulnerable individuals.
