
A grieving mother in Kano State has alleged that her 14-year-old daughter died after being subjected to a prolonged disciplinary punishment at a secondary school for reportedly missing an early morning prayer session.
According to the mother, the teenager was allegedly made to remain in a stressful position outdoors for several hours under harsh weather conditions.
She claimed her daughter repeatedly requested water during the punishment but was denied access before eventually collapsing.The girl was rushed to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, the mother said.
