
Operatives of the Oyo State Police Command have arrested four individuals suspected of engaging in various criminal activities in Ibadan, the state capital.
The arrests were confirmed in a statement released on Friday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, who revealed that the suspects are alleged members of a cult group known for terrorising residents in parts of the city.
According to the police, the suspects identified as Salawu Sarafa, Yusuf Tajudeen, Farouq Ariyo, and Adebayo Awosemo were apprehended following credible intelligence.
“Acting swiftly on actionable intelligence, our operatives mobilised to the location and successfully apprehended four suspected members of the gang,” Ayanlade stated.

He further disclosed that several items were recovered from the suspects during the operation, although details of the exhibits were not specified.
The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue, with authorities reaffirming their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents across the state.
