During interrogation, Abdulazeez allegedly confessed to being a member of the Eiye Confraternity. He said he was on his way to deliver the arms and ammunition to another member, Omolara Ezekiel, before he was caught.
Acting on intelligence, police later arrested Ezekiel and Babatunde Azeez. Officers recovered a cut-to-size gun and another Beretta pistol loaded with one live round during the arrest. Searches at the suspects’ homes and surrounding areas also yielded four cutlasses, two axes, and two live cartridges.

CP Gotan warned political thugs, miscreants, and anyone planning to disrupt public peace in Osun to desist immediately.
He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to working with stakeholders to identify and eliminate criminal elements across the state.
