
Operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command have successfully rescued three individuals who were held captive by kidnappers for over 40 days, following a coordinated security operation.
The Command also confirmed the arrest of five suspected informants believed to have aided the kidnapping syndicate with intelligence and logistical support.
According to a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, the rescue mission was carried out through a joint effort involving security personnel from Fushin Kada in collaboration with the Divisional Police Officer in Hunkuyi.
The operation was driven by sustained intelligence gathering, strategic surveillance, and a series of coordinated tactical maneuvers that led security operatives to a suspected hideout used by the kidnappers.
Hassan disclosed that upon sighting the approaching security team, the abductors fled the location, abandoning the victims who were subsequently rescued unharmed.
The victims have been identified as Ekechikwu Omale, Ummi Salisu from Kudan Local Government Area of Kaduna State, and Pastor Daniel Tanko Bawa of Tufa Village in Niger State.
Following their rescue, the victims were taken to a police medical facility for examination and treatment before being reunited with their families.

During the course of the operation, five individuals suspected to be informants were apprehended.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects allegedly provided critical information and logistical assistance to the kidnappers.
Authorities also revealed that the suspects have confessed to their roles during interrogation.
The Commissioner of Police in Kaduna State commended the professionalism and synergy among security agencies that contributed to the success of the operation.
He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to combating kidnapping and other violent crimes in the state.
Residents were also urged to continue supporting security agencies by providing timely and credible information, emphasizing that community collaboration remains vital in the ongoing fight against criminal activities.
Investigations are ongoing, with efforts intensified to track down and apprehend other members of the criminal network.
