
Troops of the Northeast Joint Task Force under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have successfully rescued 92 abducted civilians and recovered eight vehicles during a coordinated military operation in the Buratai–Kumaya axis of Sambisa Forest, Borno State.
According to military sources, the rescued victims include 52 men, 33 women, and seven children drawn from communities across Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe States.

In a statement issued by the Media Information Officer of OPHK, Lt. Col. Sani Uba, the rescue followed a swift response to intelligence gathered by troops of the 135 Special Forces Battalion stationed at Dutse Kura.
The troops reportedly detected terrorists linked to Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) forcibly herding civilians and vehicles off the Damaturu–Biu road and into nearby bush paths.
