While many women online rallied in support of her, the creator urged a pause to consider the long-term fallout of retaliating in kind.
At the center of her message is the idea of “paying a man back in his own coin.” She argued that while reacting to a partner’s betrayal by mirroring the behavior may feel empowering in the moment, women pay a heavier social and emotional price.
