Former Chelsea star Joe Cole says Manchester City’s biggest threat in the Premier League title race is time, not form.
Speaking after City’s 1-0 FA Cup final win over Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday, Cole described Pep Guardiola’s side as the best team in Europe right now. He pointed to their dominance against Chelsea as proof of their current level.
“The only reason they won’t win the league this year is that they will run out of road,” Cole said, as quoted by Metro UK. “That old saying you don’t get beat, you just run out of time.”

He added that while Chelsea pushed City hard in the final, Guardiola’s men were able to hold them off and show why they remain a top side.
“They are at the moment, you can’t argue they are the best side in Europe in terms of form. Chelsea were at it today, and they were just fending them off. Manchester City are a top side and top sides win trophies,” he said.
