The Kano State Hisbah Board has detained a fish seller and two women following allegations of involvement in indecent activities during a raid in Kano State.
According to officials of the board, the suspects were arrested at the Sheikh Muhammad Nasiru Kabara Housing Estate, also known as Bandirawo Housing Estate, along Daura Road, during an operation carried out by Hisbah personnel.
The Director of Public Enlightenment of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Auwalu Sheshe, confirmed the arrests, stating that the operation was led by Hafizu Garba Adakawa as part of ongoing efforts to curb immoral practices in the state.
One of the suspects, identified as Khadija Ahmad, a 30-year-old woman from Rimi Local Government Area of Katsina State, was alleged to have rented out rooms in her apartment for activities linked to prostitution.

During the same operation, officials also arrested a fish seller, Ali Abubakar, aged 35, alongside another woman, Fatima Abubakar, aged 28, from the Niger Republic.
They were reportedly found inside one of the rooms and accused of preparing to engage in indecent conduct at the time of the raid.
The Hisbah Board stated that the suspects admitted it was their first involvement in such activities and appealed for forgiveness.
The board added that the suspects had been arraigned before a Hisbah court presided over by Malam Sani Tanimu Hausawa for further action.
Reaffirming its stance, the Kano State Hisbah Board said it remains committed to enforcing moral standards and reducing indecent activities across Kano State.
