
The operatives of delta state Police Command have arrested three women during a raid on suspected drug hideouts in the Ogbomoro and Ugolo communities of Warri metropolis.
The suspects, identified as Favour Isaac, 25, Favour Felix, 24, and Samson Precious, 19, were apprehended by officers attached to the Effurun Area Command following intelligence reports on alleged drug-related activities in the area.
According to police authorities, the operation was carried out on May 7, 2026, at about 9:20 p.m., when officers executed a search warrant at hideouts located along River Road in Ogbomoro community.

Items recovered during the raid reportedly included 21 bottles of CSC codeine, two canisters of nitrous oxide popularly known as “laughing gas,” two packs of suspected psychoactive chewing gum branded “Highness Gum,” and about 640 grams of substances believed to be “Canadian Loud,” a strong strain of cannabis concealed in bags and containers.
The spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, said preliminary investigations revealed that a suspect identified as Rukewe Tega Isaac, who is currently on the run, was allegedly the major supplier linked to the drug network.
Edafe noted that efforts were ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect and dismantle the syndicate behind the operation.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to intensifying the crackdown on drug trafficking and related crimes across Delta State.
He added that the circulation and abuse of illicit substances remained a major factor contributing to violent crimes and social vices among young people, urging residents to continue providing useful information to security agencies.
