Protesters on Wednesday stormed the headquarters of MTN Nigeria in Abuja, voicing anger over what they described as excessive service charges and poor data delivery.
The protest was led by activist Omoyele Sowore, alongside a group of demonstrators who gathered at the telecom company’s premises chanting “MTN Ole!” to express their dissatisfaction.
According to the protesters, Nigerians are being subjected to exploitative pricing despite paying heavily for telecom services. One of the demonstrators lamented that many users pay for data subscriptions but do not receive the value promised.
“We demand that MTN immediately stop all exorbitant charges. Nigerians deserve better service delivery,” a protester said, highlighting widespread frustration among subscribers.
