
Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully rescued two kidnapped children during a coordinated search-and-rescue operation in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The operation, which took place in the early hours of Sunday, was launched following a distress call reporting an abduction in the Korpallama area.
Security sources revealed that troops from B Company, 144 Battalion, stationed in Gulak, worked in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force to execute the mission.

During the operation, two victims 12-year-old Barnabas Apagu and 10-year-old Ruth Apagu were safely rescued.
However, two other victims, identified as Rahila Apagu, 21, and Ijandri Apagu, 19, remain in captivity. Security forces have intensified efforts to locate and rescue them.
Military presence in the area has also been reinforced as ongoing operations continue to track down the perpetrators and ensure the safe return of the remaining victims.
