
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have successfully foiled a terrorist attack and rescued several commuters along a key supply route in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The incident, which occurred around 4:30 p.m. on April 22, involved personnel of the 120 Task Force Battalion who were on routine patrol along the Ngirbuwa–Bulturam Kwana road.
According to security sources, the troops swiftly responded to reports of an attempted attack at Bulturam Kwana, where suspected terrorists had intercepted a civilian vehicle and forced it into the bush in an apparent bid to abduct the passengers.

However, the assailants fled upon sighting the approaching troops, abandoning both the vehicle and its occupants.
The soldiers immediately secured the area and safely rescued all passengers without casualties.
Sources further disclosed that troops have intensified patrol operations and continue to dominate the route to ensure the safety of commuters and prevent future attacks in the area.
