Chelsea FC have dismissed head coach Liam Rosenior following a disappointing run of form that saw the team lose five consecutive matches in the Premier League without scoring a single goal.
The club confirmed his departure on Wednesday, stating that the decision was made after a series of performances fell below expected standards.
Rosenior, who was appointed midway through the season, lasted just over 100 days in charge before being relieved of his duties.
Chelsea expressed gratitude for his efforts during his short spell at the club, noting that he conducted himself with professionalism throughout his tenure despite the difficult results.
The poor run of form saw the London side slip further down the league table, leaving them seventh and struggling to secure a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

The defeats came against several top-flight opponents, deepening concerns over the team’s consistency and attacking output.
In response, Chelsea have appointed Calum McFarlane as interim head coach until the end of the season. He will begin his temporary spell in charge immediately, starting with a crucial FA Cup semi-final clash against Leeds United at Wembley Stadium.
The club also stated that an internal review process is underway as they look to appoint a long-term replacement and restore stability to the team.
Rosenior’s exit marks another managerial change in Chelsea’s ongoing rebuilding phase, as the club continues to search for consistent form and direction in a challenging campaign.
