Victor Osimhen, striker for Galatasaray, chose to remain in the hospital longer than expected after undergoing surgery on his arm.
The Super Eagles star sustained the injury during Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash against Liverpool FC earlier this month, which led to the surgical procedure.
According to Turkish journalist Haluk Yürekli, Osimhen was initially expected to be discharged the day after his operation. However, the forward requested to stay back under medical supervision to aid his recovery.

Speaking on the decision, Osimhen was quoted as saying, “I don’t want to be discharged; I want my care to continue here so I can return sooner.”
Reports also indicated that strict security measures were put in place during his stay, with limited access to his room, even for close family members, to ensure uninterrupted recovery.
He has now been discharged, with fans hopeful that his determination will see him return to action for Galatasaray in top form.
