The Chairman of the Senate Committee on the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Senator Titus Zam, has accused Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP, Kogi Central) of ignorance following a recent altercation regarding committee membership.
Zam clarified that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan is not a member of the NCDC committee, and therefore it was inappropriate for her to expect an invitation to its budget defense meeting.

“She’s not a member and was not invited. Two senators from Kogi are on the committee: Senator Sani Jubrin, my vice chairman, and Senator Sunny Karimi,” Zam explained.
According to him, the Kogi Central lawmaker arrived hours after the meeting to raise complaints about not being included, claiming her North Central origin entitled her to membership.
Zam said he advised her to take the matter to the Senate Committee on Selection.
Senator Natasha had led a protest to the NCDC Committee Chairman’s office, alleging a systematic denial of her rights and privileges as a senator representing Kogi Central.
The brief confrontation ended after the senator left Zam’s office.
