
Gombe, Nigeria – A deadly clash at a wedding in Tulmi, Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State, has left one person dead and others injured, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.
The incident occurred on Sunday around 10:30 p.m. during a send-off party organized by Godiya Mai Rai. According to security analyst Zangozola Makama, the confrontation erupted after a disagreement over seating arrangements and rivalry between the two groups.
A group of men from Garin Ardo Usman village—including Wada Hussaini, Ganji Alhaji Idi, Yaya Hussaini, Mohammed Maikudi, Bello Alhaji Idi, and one Tijjani—engaged in a violent clash with Abubakar Usman, 35, and Bello Adamu, 19.
The fight claimed the life of Abubakar Usman, while Bello Adamu and Wada Hussaini sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to Cottage Hospital Tulmi for treatment, and the deceased’s body was deposited at the hospital mortuary.

Police stated that the suspects fled the scene after the altercation and confirmed that efforts are underway to apprehend them. An official investigation into the incident has also commenced.
