Security operatives have successfully repelled a bandit attack on Rimaye town in Kankia Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The attempted invasion occurred late Wednesday night but was foiled through a swift response by soldiers of the 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army. They worked alongside members of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps, C-Watch, and local vigilantes to push the attackers back.
According to a post on X by security analyst Bakatsine, the armed group tried to invade the community but met strong resistance from the combined team. The coordinated operation forced the bandits to retreat and flee the town before they could cause harm.
