The incident reportedly occurred at about 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Bukuyum in Bukuyum Local Government Area of the state.
According to security sources cited by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post on X on Thursday, the joint security team engaged the suspected terrorists as they attempted to infiltrate the military facility.
