Nigerian security forces have successfully foiled a kidnap attempt and neutralised 12 terrorists in a series of coordinated operations carried out across multiple states.
According to military reports, troops under Operation HADIN KAI, working alongside local vigilantes, prevented a kidnapping incident in Mirnga village, Biu Local Government Area of Borno State.
The terrorists were engaged in a gun battle and forced to flee, although they set the victim’s vehicle ablaze before escaping.
In a separate operation in Gwalaram village, Magumeri LGA of Borno State, troops arrested a suspected logistics supplier linked to terrorist activities. The suspect was reportedly responsible for providing food supplies and intelligence on troop movements.
Items recovered included foodstuffs, a mobile phone, and the sum of ₦32,780.
Further security efforts in Adamawa State led to the arrest of a suspected ISWAP/JAS informant in Dzangola Kilba, Hong LGA.
Additionally, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team safely detonated two primed hand grenades discovered in Larh Forest, averting potential danger.

Air operations also recorded significant success, as the Air Component carried out an interdiction mission on a terrorist enclave in Chiralia, Damboa LGA of Borno State.
The strike resulted in the elimination of 12 terrorists and the destruction of their hideouts.
As part of ongoing psychological operations, the military deployed approximately 10,000 leaflets across strategic locations within the Timbuktu Triangle, encouraging insurgents to surrender.
In Plateau State, troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN responded swiftly to intelligence reports on armed herders in Tongorong, Riyom LGA. The suspects fled upon sighting security forces, abandoning 178 livestock, which were subsequently recovered.
Meanwhile, in Rivers State, troops under Operation DELTA SAFE uncovered a 110-metre illegal oil pipeline during an anti-bunkering operation in Okarki Forest, Ahoada East LGA. The facility was dismantled in accordance with operational procedures.
The military reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining operations aimed at restoring peace and security across the country.
