The Tiktoker: Love
A TikTok content creator popularly known as “Love” has reportedly been invited by the Nigeria Police Force for questioning over allegations of cyberstalking, fraud, and public mischief following a viral video about the shelf life of a loaf of bread.
The development came to light after social media influencer Lucky Udu shared details of the situation via Instagram, including a screenshot of a message sent to him by the content creator.
According to Udu, the TikToker reached out after receiving an official invitation from the police, adding that the case has attracted significant public attention, with many Nigerians closely monitoring how events unfold.
According to the message shared online, the TikToker, identified by the handle @lovedooshimaa, confirmed she had been asked to appear at the Force Headquarters.
“I have received an invitation to the police headquarters for an interview. I was reported for cyberstalking, fraud, and mischief,” she stated.
The issue originated from a viral TikTok video in which the creator claimed that a loaf of bread she purchased remained fresh for nearly two months.

The claim sparked widespread reactions online, raising concerns about food safety and product integrity, while many viewers linked the allegation to popular bakery brand Bon Bread.
In response, Bon Bread’s founder, Maria Abdulkadir, stated that the claims had negatively affected the brand’s reputation.
She explained that efforts were initially made to contact the TikToker to verify the source and authenticity of the claim, noting that the allegation was questionable, particularly the assertion that the bread remained unspoiled for such an extended period.
She added that after attempts to engage the creator proved unsuccessful and as online reactions increasingly associated the claim with the brand the company decided to pursue legal action to protect its reputation.
“We respect freedom of expression, but we stand firmly by the quality and safety of our products,” she said, adding that Bon Bread products are freshly baked and typically do not last beyond a few days without preservatives.
As of the time of filing this report, the Nigeria Police Force has not released an official statement confirming or clarifying the reported invitation.
The case continues to generate conversations online, particularly around consumer rights, corporate reputation, and the boundaries of digital expression.
