The Anambra State Police Command has disrupted a suspected cult gathering in Fegge, Onitsha, arresting a 25-year-old man during the operation.
The operation was carried out by officers from the Fegge Police Station following credible intelligence about the gathering at Abagana Street. The suspect, identified as Chinedu Ike, was arrested while other suspected members reportedly fled after sighting the police.
According to the police, the suspect allegedly admitted during preliminary interrogation to being a member of the Vikings Confraternity.

The case has been transferred to the Violence and Cult-Related Crimes Unit for further investigation, while efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend the fleeing suspects.
The police have urged residents to remain vigilant and provide credible information that could assist in tackling cult-related activities and other violent crimes in the area.
