Seun Kuti
Nigerian singer and outspoken Afrobeat artist, Seun Kuti, has made it clear that his long-standing rift with Afrobeats superstar Wizkid is far from over describing it as a lifelong feud.
Speaking during a recent podcast appearance, Seun Kuti firmly dismissed any possibility of reconciliation, emphasizing that certain lines, once crossed, cannot be undone.
The tension between both artists dates back to a controversial moment when Wizkid reportedly compared himself to Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
The remark did not sit well with Seun, who had previously urged fans to stop comparing modern artists to his late father.

When asked directly if peace had been restored between them, Seun responded bluntly, stating that the conflict remains unresolved and permanent. According to him, the issue goes beyond music and touches on respect for his father’s legacy.
He stressed that any perceived disrespect toward Fela is something he cannot overlook, making reconciliation impossible.
This latest statement reinforces the deep divide between both music stars and highlights ongoing tensions within Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
