Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has criticised what she described as an increasingly indirect approach to ending romantic relationships, alleging that some men deliberately frustrate their partners rather than openly communicate their decision to leave.
Makinwa made the observation while discussing contemporary relationships and the different ways people navigate separation and breakups.
According to the media personality, some men have become unwilling to take responsibility for ending relationships directly. Instead, she alleged, they resort to behaviours that make the relationship increasingly difficult until their partners eventually decide to walk away.
“Men no longer have the balls to break up with women these days; they frustrate you until you leave,” Makinwa said.
