The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old man identified as Muyideen Olatunbosun, who was described by the police as a suspected cultist, during an intelligence-led anti-crime patrol in Ikorodu.
According to the command, police operatives arrested Olatunbosun while patrolling the Idi-Iroko, Ogolonto and Agric areas of Ikorodu following information received during the operation.
A search conducted on the suspect reportedly led to the recovery of a rubber-made pistol, an axe, criminal charms and an illicit substance popularly known as “Ice.”

The police said the arrest forms part of ongoing efforts to tackle cultism and other criminal activities across Lagos State.
The suspect remains in police custody and is assisting with the investigation, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of his alleged cult group.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, commended the officers for their vigilance and urged residents to continue providing timely and credible information to the police.
