Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has criticised the Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, over the persistent poor electricity supply across Nigeria, expressing frustration over what she described as inadequate power delivery in 2026.
The actress voiced her displeasure in a post shared on her Instagram page, where she lamented that electricity is often restored for just a few minutes before going off again.
Henshaw questioned why Nigerians continue to struggle with unreliable electricity despite repeated government assurances about improving power supply.
Reacting to a statement reportedly attributed to the minister that some Nigerians had asked him to reduce electricity supply because their freezers were overcooling, the actress demanded the identities and phone numbers of those allegedly making such requests.
She challenged the minister to provide evidence of the claims, insisting that the reality for many Nigerians was a persistent lack of electricity rather than an excess supply.

Expressing her anger, Henshaw wondered why the country was still battling such a fundamental challenge in 2026, noting that unreliable electricity continues to affect households, businesses and everyday activities.
She further criticised what she described as repeated excuses and misleading statements from those in authority.
In a strongly worded conclusion, the actress declared: “God will judge all of you,” expressing disappointment with the handling of the country’s electricity challenges.
She also joked that Nigerians deserve special treatment in heaven after enduring the difficulties associated with living in the country.
