
Popular Nigerian Fuji disc jockey, DJ Kulet, whose real name is Kudirat Gbemisola, has shared a deeply personal story about her past, revealing how her life has changed over the years.
Speaking during a church service on Sunday, the entertainer disclosed that before gaining recognition as a DJ, she struggled with homelessness and was involved in prostitution in Surulere.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Kulet described her early life as difficult, noting that many people in her neighborhood knew her because of her past.
She explained that she grew up in the Lawanson area of Surulere and went through several hardships before turning her life around.
According to her, she once lived on the streets and depended on unstable means of survival. Over time, she managed to secure a small apartment with help, but still faced challenges, including poor living conditions.

Kulet said her situation began to improve gradually as she focused on her DJ career, which started bringing in income.
She added that despite setbacks, she continued pushing forward until she was able to afford better accommodation.
The DJ credited her transformation to her faith, stating that her life changed after she gave her life to Christ. She also revealed that she eventually became a homeowner in the same Surulere area where she once struggled.
Sharing the video on her Instagram page, Kulet expressed gratitude, saying her story is an example of how her life moved from hardship to success.
This is not the first time the DJ has spoken about her past, as she had previously revealed in 2025 that she experienced abuse earlier in her life.
Her story has since sparked reactions online, with many people praising her for speaking openly about her journey and inspiring others facing similar struggles.
